If hosting guests is getting stressful for you, it may be simple tweaks you need to make to make your listing more guest friendly. Putting Airbnb signs around your listing giving guests instructions on how to use certain amenities could be a great solve!
A great way to create a list of signs that could be helpful would be to look through your most frequently asked questions from guests. Also take a walk through the listing with someone new and see everything they point out that could be confusing.
Build out an FAQ in your house manual and then signs for your listing. I’ll take your through the best Airbnb signs every host should have in their listings.
This post is all about Airbnb signs.
Best Airbnb Signs
Airbnb signs for guests
The best thing you can do is make your listing easily accessible for guests at all times. These are the top signs I recommend having posted around your listing.
- Welcome sign by the front door
- QR code that will instantly connect your guests’ device to the WiFi
- Sign in the laundry room explaining how to use the washer and dryer
- Sign by any amenity or feature to explain how to use
- Sign by light switches or fan remotes explaining how to use
- Garage instructions
- Check out and lock up instructions
Airbnb welcome signs
Welcome signs are by far the most important. Putting one at the entrance or front door with the top 5 things you want the guests to know is crucial.
I always put the WiFi QR code there too so they can instantly access the WiFi without having to look too hard for it. Also, call out the most important things here for the guests to know.
You can also direct them to a virtual guest book or tell them where to look for more information during their stay. I still do physical books to help guests and have everything in the booking platform they used as well.

Airbnb outdoor signs
Any outdoor amenities will need an outdoor sign as well. Think about the garage, parking area, fire pits, hot tubs, pools and off limits areas.
Airbnb signs template
I have the best list of signs that I use in my personal properties linked below. Just drop in your email and I’ll send out a link to my Canva template! You can use it to create your own Airbnb signs for your listings.
I would love to know if they’ve helped you improve your listing at all. Drop me a note when you use them for your Airbnb business.
Airbnb custom signs
My sign guide is what works for my business. My Airbnb’s are very simple, with no big amenities or pools. You will need to customize your signs for your listing.
Some municipalities will even dictate what you need to have posted in your listings for guests. This is true for us in one of our listings close to a national park that is heavily regulated in California.
In summary
To wrap this up, anything in your rental that could be confusing for guests or need some type of clarification, put an Airbnb sign next to it. Doing this will greatly reduce the number of guest messages, increase guest satisfaction and give you more time back in your business.
