Are you stocking your Airbnb and wonder what Airbnb toiletries you should have for your guests? Every little consumable is just another item to manage from an inventory standpoint. It’s makes the operation way more complex! I have this stuff figured out and down to a science and can definitely help you do the same.
If you’re wondering what Airbnb toiletries are actually necessary to stock, I got you. Read below for all my recommendations and how I manage my business personally.
This post is all about Airbnb toiletries.
15 Must-Have Airbnb Toiletries
1. Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
This is so important to stock for your guests! Some hosts use the hotel single serve size bottles but what I found is there is so much unnecessary waste associated with this. Having refillable large bottles has been the best solution to ensuring that there is no waste and that guests have access to as much of these products as they need during their stay. Below is a link to the exact bottle suite I use in all my 5 star properties.
2. Makeup towels
I always stock these black towels with the Makeup label embroidered on them. If you stock light colored towels, I’d definitely recommend having these out and visible for your guests. It’s been the best way to avoid getting my towels super stained from make up and any other number of things. You have to stock these for your guests.
3. Toilet Paper
I know, I know, this may seem obvious but some hosts get super stingy on these kinds of consumables for guests. The last thing I want as a host is for a guest to have to buy their own toilet paper when they’re staying in my property. Now, if they book for a long time, like over 2/3 weeks, I don’t sweat it as much. You want to ensure your guests can be well taken care of in this area or have access to more easily.
4. Bath Towels
Bath towels are like so obvious, you have to stock these, but I do have some opinions here. Please, please, please make sure they are clean and stain free and smell good! If everything else in your house is perfect but you have gross towels, guests will forget all the good and focus in here. I love these towels from Costco. They are low cost, easy to clean and large enough for a bath towel. Here’s the link:

5. Hand Towels
Hand towels will get used probably the most of any towel you provide your guests. I use these ones from Costco that are cheap, durable and easy to clean. They’re better quality than anything you’ll buy at Walmart or Target. Look no further and take the plunge on these hand towels.
6. Wash clothes
Same thing here for the wash clothes. I feel like these always end up in the kitchen to clean up spills so just have a lot in storage for back stock. These will stain so easily and need to be replaced often. Good thing is this pack comes with 24 so you will have plenty of back up for awhile for your cleaners to use.
7. Quick dry bath mats
These quick dry bath mats are gold! I’m a big fan of easy to clean bath mats and quick to dry. If you opt for a rug in the bathroom versus something that can be easily washed you’ll be screwed if it becomes too dirty and needs to be removed between turns for guests to be cleaned. Make your life easier and the guest experience cleaner by opting for these bath mats instead.
8. Cotton balls
I fluctuate between offering cotton balls and cotton pads but this is something many women use for make up removal and can be easily forgotten about when packing for a trip. I linked my favorite containers for these items below. There’s so many fun options for these clear plastic containers and I’d definitely ensure whatever container you get, you make sure it’s clear. You want it to be obvious to your guests what you provide.
9. Razors
Single use razors, when available, have always been a welcomed luxury if I was to forget my own at home. I’m actually surprised how little these get used across my properties but this will always be something I provide my guests because I personally use them often when they’re provided for me.
10. Hair dryer
Hair dryers are so necessary. My motto as a host is that if a hotel has it, you need to have it. Guests will expect small items like these and it could massively hurt your rating if one guest was expecting this item to be stocked and it wasn’t.
11. Makeup remover wipes
I already addressed having the black makeup wash clothes available for guests but the single use makeup remover wipes are also a nice touch!
12. Bath salts
If your listing has a soaking tub in the master bathroom, I’d definitely recommend getting single use bath salts to go along with that amenity. Guests will not expect this but it will be a way to surprise and delight them during their stay.
13. Q-tips
Q-tips are like a must must must carry essential. I linked my favorite Q-tip holders down below. Make sure you stock them in a clear container so guests can clearly see you provide them when they are in the bathroom.
14. Candles
I have a handful of candles spread throughout one of my listings and it was the first time I had done that. When we went to do our quarterly audit, I was shocked by how burned down all our candles were! So now I stock all my properties with candles. They are a great way to eliminate odors so by getting ones that are specifically designed for odor elimination is way to keep your property always smelling fresh while guests enjoy the aroma a candle.
15. Space heater
The last thing you want is for the AC to go out on a hot day or the heater to go out on cold day. I stock a couple space heaters in every listing for this reason and then I do have a window AC unit in my highest end property just so guests have something if the AC was to ever go out.
