These Airbnb flyer and sign ideas are subtle but insanely important ways to give your guest a 5 star experience. Have you ever checked into a hotel or Airbnb and didn’t know how to turn on the lights or AC? It’s super frustrating and can turn your experience sour really fast.
Putting up small signs around your listing can really help alleviate the need for guests to reach out to you as the host with small questions. It also elevates their experience because they can easily help themselves in the moment.
It’s super important not to overdo it with “labeling” the listing but is crucial to be aware of and help guests out.
This post is all about Airbnb flyer and signs.
17 Airbnb Flyer And Sign Ideas
1. Airbnb Welcome Flyer
You need to have a welcome sign in all your listings! This one is right by the front door at my 2 bedroom house in Southern California and I put all the most crucial reminders for my guests right there. That way they see it every time they are leaving the listing.
Make sure you put all the information that pertains to your own listing on your Airbnb welcome flyer. A great tip I learned from another Superhost was to always ask for the 5 star review, so this is where I put that ask!
If you want to create your own signs like these, I use Canva to create all my templates! Keep scrolling for a free surprise at the end.

2. Airbnb Welcome Book
In all my listing, I have a printed Airbnb welcome book with everything from the house manual, to emergency contact information, to check out instructions and local recommendations. The goal with this welcome book is to give guests all the crucial information they need for their stay in printed form!
Some hosts have switched to a digital QR code that guests scan and get all the information right there online. I think this is a great solution and allows for you to update the Airbnb welcome book instantly!
However, I do host a fair amount of older guests and, personally, I like something I can hold and read. Below, I linked the exact template for my Airbnb welcome book, get it for free now!
3. WiFi Sign
OMG this is my most favorite hack yet! At the front door, next to my Airbnb welcome flyer, I have a QR code for the WiFi. When a guest scans the QR code with their phone, it will instantly connect them to the WiFi!
Prior to implementing this in my business, I would get questions on WiFi information often (even though it was in their arrival details, Airbnb app and the welcome book). I have literally had zero questions on WiFi information since hanging this sign in my listings and it’s been over 2 years!
4. Laundry Room Sign
If your listing has a laundry room, you could totally steal my laundry room instructions sign! It may seem obvious but I like to have this one to help guests feel confident in using the laundry system at each listing.
5. Check Out Instructions
I always have this Airbnb flyer posted in an insanely obvious place – refrigerator, front door, back door, by the garage. I do not want guests to miss it and want them to see all the check out instructions prior to leaving!
6. Airbnb Digital Guidebook
I referred to the Airbnb digital guidebook idea up under number 1 on this list. Here are some practical ways you can integrate a digital guidebook into your listing!
Use a tech platform that will host your guidebook and help create it for you. There are so many different options when you google Airbnb digital guidebook. These are almost all paid options though.
Another way would be to text or message your guests a link to a Google doc that has all the information there. This would a completely free option and a great way to test it out at your listing before investing any money!
The last way I would recommend doing this is to use a QR code that links out to a Google doc or a Canva template with all the information for your guests there. You could have the QR code printed on a sign and posted in an obvious spot in your listing!
7. Amenity Sign
These next suggestions are all about the fun stuff, amenities! It’s super important to have instructions for any amenity you provide in your listing for guest use. Besides having information in your guidebook, I would think it’s crucial to post those instructions next to the amenity for quick reference while the guest is using them!
Before I go any farther…
You need these acrylic sign holders to easily, and professionally, display your signs around your listing. I get these exact ones on Amazon and use them in all my personal listings!
8. Pool Sign
Having a sign with all the pool rules in an obvious spot would be crucial. I don’t have any listings with pools but know this could even be required by the municipality or insurance company.
9. Spa Sign
Same for a spa/hot tub. Having the rules or instructions for use close by will be essential. I have even had hosts ask us to put chlorine tablets in the spa after every 3 uses to keep the spa sanitary and clean. Personally, I loved this because I know they care about keeping the amenities nice for guests.
10. Grill Sign
Not everyone knows how to use a grill so instructions on turning off the propane and flame or cleaning instructions is crucial!
11. Firepit Sign
I have a lot of firepits at my listings and this is the exact sign I have at one of the listings. The goal I always have in mind when creating these signs is to make it so so easy for my guests to operate the amenity so they don’t have to call me.
12. Fireplace Sign
Similar to the fire pit instructions above, create one for the fireplace if it’s not super intuitive. I personally discourage guest use of the fireplaces that are wood burning and will put that in my welcome book and house manual on the Airbnb app. But you make your own decision for your business!
13. Bathroom Sign
We have all seen those signs in public restrooms that ask for nothing but TP to be flushed. If you have sensitive pipes or are worried about plumbing issues, do the same thing in your listings.
14. Instructional Sign
Bottom line, anything that would require instructions for use, you can create an Airbnb flyer for and put the sign up around your house! Below is an example of using a Nest thermostat for the HVAC at one of my listings.
15. Contact Information Flyer
For guests to easily access you, posting your contact information is crucial. I always post how guests can reach me on the front page of my welcome book. This way they can just ask the question if they prefer!
16. Airbnb Cleaning Flyer
Having a cleaning flyer for your cleaning team (or cleaning checklist) is so helpful when training a new cleaner. I have this posted inside my owners closet where all the back up supplies are stored.
